April 30, 2025 – As reported first on Baltimore Jewish Life, the sign is now up for Chick ‘n Dip, the long-rumored kosher chicken restaurant which will open at 2578 Quarry Lake Drive.
The new restaurant will open just around the corner from the kosher Rita’s (2550 Quarry Lake Drive, under supervision of Rabbi Y. Zvi Weiss) and facing Walgreen’s. With Playa Bowls (2632 Quarry Lake Drive, under Star-D Kosher) in the same development, Quarry Lake will now have three kosher supervised destinations. Chick ‘n Dip will be under the kosher supervision of the Star-K.
Quarry Lake, a desirable location since it opened in 2006, is seeing increasing opportunity for kosher consumers, as the community has continued moving into neighborhoods further north inside the beltway, particularly since the eruv has been expanded in 2020.
