In exciting restaurant news for Baltimore and vicinity, we have exclusive news that Yossef’s Laffa-Milia will reopen for customers this week, Thursday, August 28, 2025. Yossef’s has been on hiatus since being forced to take a hiatus in early summer.

Yossef’s (443-340-8335, http://www.yossefslaffamilia.com, under Star-K kosher supervision), the family-owned Mediterranean restaurant, will open at 122 Slade Avenue, in the parking lot next to the Star-K office.

The hours will be Sunday, 12-7, M-Th, 11:30-8.

“This is an interim phase for us as we are working on a long term location,” says manager Alona Shavi-Tajer, “but in this interim phase, we will still be able to feed and engage with everyone, which we are so looking forward to.”

“The opening this week will offer much of the normal menu,” Alona tells us. “Quality is always our top priority, so we will begin to build our full menu back up so everyone gets the best of us as always.” She continues, “We have some fun and exciting things coming!”

Yossef’s was opened by Yossef & Hana Shavi and their daughter, Alona Shavi-Tajer in July, 2024 to great local reviews.

About a year later, early in the summer of 2025, Yossef’s was forced to temporarily close due to zoning issues and have worked hard to search for a suitable location since. “This has been a very difficult time for all of us and we really miss everyone.”
